Better be in Lisa Lapine's pocket or you'll never play here. And you'll have to give her a chunk of your pay. And talent and draw have nothing to do with who plays here and who doesn't.
The booker is difficult. And the pay is "collect it yourself." Parking sucks. Pizza is rocking, bar in the back is cool; staff is great.
This place is cool. In the heart of St. John's. Small stage, decent sound system; fine staff. This is a great no B.S. club. They are open to a lot of different kinds of music. Nothing but good things to say about them.
Hipster hang-out. Schedule your show when the blazers are playing; they have a packed house then.
Teeny, tiny North Portland bar that's a lot of fun. Pay is decent, crowds are fun and used to quality entertainment. Jon is hard to get a hold of for booking.
Even though they pipe your music through the whole venue, you only get paid from the upstairs bar. And even then it's pretty shady. Plus you have to lug your gear upstairs. Half of the staff is pretty snotty too.
